The fourth quarter of 2021 saw demand for bricks and mortar generatejust under £3bn on stamp duty, higher than any other quarter on record.
The record £2.95bn in stamp duty receipts published on Friday, came inspite of some property purchasers having rushed to complete ahead of the Stamp Duty Holiday.
Demand is still extremely high, mainly due to low stock levels across the board.
